Details

Institution of the ‘mission-oriented evaluation’ system linked with the term cycles of institute heads on the basis of own duties for
strengthening the autonomy and responsibility of GRIs Since the second half of 2013, sequential application of the new evaluation system
and implementation of ‘common standard-type evaluation’ for institutes that have not been applied the new evaluation system

Mission-oriented evaluation

  • Developing management outcome plans that take into account the types of medium- and long-term visions and missions of institute heads
    and evaluating the achievement and excellence at the middle point and end of term

Common standard-type evaluation

  • Evaluating management outcomes (1 year cycle assessment) and research project activities (3 year cycle assessment)
    at the same period (January ~ April every year)

Utilization of Evaluation Results

Reflection of evaluation results in the funds and manpower of institutes and the performance incentives for institute heads, and the limit rate of
efficiency incentives for researchers
