01. Development of and support for HR policies
Purpose
To accomplish GRIs’ duties and enhance research performance by developing and providing support for HR policies

- Provide systematic support through HR operational planning for GRIs
- Develop HR policies to enhance GRIs' research performance
- Provide assistance to help GRIs’ HR policies make root in the research field
02. Securing talented individuals and support for recruitment
Purpose
Support policy implementation and joint recruitment activities (briefing sessions) to secure top talent for government-funded research institutions
Details
- Operate recruitment processes (improvement of blind hiring process, recruitment review for special national researchers (special hires)) to support talent acquisition policies of government-funded research institutions
- Integrate and operate the recruitment process for government-funded research institutions to enhance process efficiency and publicity
03. Customized HR support and job training
Purpose
Provide postdoctoral R&D training opportunities in affiliated government-funded research institutions for the enhancement of research capacity and career development to support the growth of early-career researchers
Details
Support up to KRW 60 million (including KRW 10 million for retirement allowance and subsidies by the institutions for four major statutory social insurances) per annum for each recipient of the project, for up to three years from the date of appointment
caution Eligibility: Ph. D. holders within five years from degree acquisition (including those expected to obtain degrees within three months before the training start date)
04. Support for highly-experienced researchers and recruiting the disadvantaged groups
Purpose
To utilize talented individuals, taking the diversity of talents into account in response to low birth rates and an aging population

- Devise HR support and development plans tailored to different life stages, including highly-experienced researchers and those nearing retirement
- Foster an environment for attracting various types of talented individuals, including the accomplishment of policy goals for female scientists and engineers and persons with disabilities
05. Talent development programs for government-funded research institutions
Purpose
- Operate foundational training programs to enhance basic competencies of government-funded research institution employees at various career stages
- Operate integrated AI training programs to lead the era of digital conversion and AI convergence

- Foundational Competency Training Programs to enhance job specialty for different career stages (including planning, communication, conflict management, and leadership)
- Integrated AI Training Operate a dedicated 3-level, 7-course curriculum ranging from basic courses to AI innovation courses that can leverage AI-R&D
